But dont you get arses in all walks of life? If I formed an opinion on all shop assistants / bar staff just because one or two were shitty with me, I'd never get served!! A lot of how you're treated depends on what we call 'the attitude test' - i.e. if you're gobby / arsey with me, then I will go out of my way to be the same back - the difference is I can be shitty with you AND screw your day up (in as much as keep you there for as long as I deem necessary) - if however, you are polite, and respectful, then I can pretty much guarantee (unless you've done something REALLY wrong) you wouldnt get more than a quick chat - no tickets, no 'advice', no patronising crap (certainly not from me anyway). You also have to remember that if Joe Bloggs walking down the road sees you driving like a tit (in their opinion) and reports you (lets face it, in the eyes of the public, anyone who drives anything other than standard is a 'boy racer'), then the Police have to be seen to be doing something - again, if it was me, I would stop you, see what you were like, and, if you were ok with me, explain why I'd stopped you, ask you to be aware of how your driving MAY be percieved, and leave you to it. THe point Im trying to make in a few posts is that most Police Officers dont pick on people driving modded cars - there are reasons why you get stopped - strobes in the front bumber is a prime example (using that as its a recent post in this thread).

We're not all cnuts - infact most of us are pretty normal! I do get a bit annoyed when there is a general "All Police are w*nkers" type thread, as its not the case.

i know what your saying.. but what i meant was, there are a 1 or 2 in redditch who are arseholes!! they have pulled my mom in a mg zr for driving normally and told her she was going a bit fast round an island.. shes a 40 odd year old woman whos never had points or anything and the copper was bein an obnoxious arsehole to put it buntly.. i know theres always gonna be a few but just pisses me off that they feel they can get away with it..

ive been told before that i wasnt doing anything wrong but just wanted to check documents.. why not just run the numberplate!!! no need to stop me and tell me.. pointless time wasting with nothing else to do.

What is this 'sense of humour' you refer to? That was trained out of me at Ryton, many years ago....... Actually, yes, it was! Why would my shed have blues and twos? It doenst move anywhere!

I think your question was a serious one - if so, the answer is no, public are not allowed to have them. You could be knocked off for any sorts of strobes being displayed on a public highway.

dont know if any ones already posted but the black subaru is no longer with them they wrote off 3 engines and subaru wouldnt give em another so its no longer old bill if its still on the road

Neither Scoobies are in existence any more - the silver one was totalled into a hedge during a pursuit, the other one was, as you correctly point out, blown up one too many times (although Subaru installed ProDrive jkits on them after the first blow up - want to test something for durability? Give it to the Police - if they cant break it, no-one can!!)
